Melbourne Water rolls out Healthy Waterways sites

Long-time GUI client Melbourne Water has launched its brand new suite of sites to support the new Healthy Waterways brand. Developed and maintained by GUI the sites also include Raingardens and Waterwatch. The sites feature integrated micro-blogging for co-ordinators as well as secure sections for teacher interaction.

Lange launches web-based Evaulation tool

Lange Consulting has launched its brand new web-based tendering solution - Apet/360. This joins the ever-growing range of web-based Lange products, including Apet/CM (Contract Management) and ApetRapid (simple evaluation tool). Apet/360 is an end-to-end solution for conducting and evaluating Tenders, RFQs and the like. It includes a tender-construction tool, on-line response (both Panel-based and Public) and an integrated evaluation component.

D:Net Media has launched its brand new format for the future of music - the GUI-designed and developed DDA - on December 1st. This new format, launched with releases by Sneaky Sound system and Gurrumul, amongst others, features both Windows and Macintosh support, as well as providing an on-line digital "locker" for all music, interactive news and forums, mobile support and much more. GUI has been working on the development since the earliest planning stages and has project managed and developed the application in its entirety on behalf of D:Net.

Wine Vault, Australia's leading wine storage warehouse, have appointed GUI Computing to redevelop their web site, with enhancements including online account management for Wine Vault storage customers, a trading floor and online auctions, online education and an online Vault Manager available to both customers and registered users. This substantial upgrade will come on line early in 2007.

GUI appointed to redevelop Gippsland Water web site

Gippsland Water have appointed GUI as the developer for their new-look web site, to be launched in mid-2006. The web site will feature a complete revamp of the existing site as well as a range of interactive features. GUI was appointed following the 'positive and complimentary' feedback on the recent launch of the Gippsland Water Factory site.
GUI helps launch RISE for Cycling

Melbourne RFID experts iCrystal, in conjunction with Victorian Machine Vision, will be launching RISE-C (Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in Sports Events - Cycling) at the MCG on December 13th. This innovative and inexpensive approach enables online real-time tracking of cycling events. GUI was selected to design, develop and host the web site responsible for displaying the real-time feed from the RISE-C equipment.

The Gippsland Water Factory is a multi-million dollar project and will produce recycled water for use by industry and agriculture. It will provide today’s and future generations with a valued and sustainable water resource that will improve the health of Gippsland waterways and lake systems. GUI have been appointed to design and develop the web support for this $140m + project.
Melbourne Water launches new web sites

Melbourne Water have launched a completely rebranded main web site and well as a new Frog Census web site, as featured in this ABC News report. As Melbourne Water's preferred Internet supplier, both sites were designed and developed by GUI's Web Development Unit.
Both sites feature AAA W3C Accessibility conformance as wel as full VOMAP compliance.

Ross Mack celebrates 10 years

Software Development Manager Ross Mack chalks up his 10th anniversary at GUI on January 16th, 2005. Starting as a trainee fresh out of college in 1995, Ross has risen through the ranks to be the head of software development and our chief architect.
Ross is GUI's first 10 year veteran.
Melbourne Water wins Top Site again

Melbourne Water's main web site (designed and maintained by GUI)has yet again picked up the HitWise No. 1 by visits in the Business and Finance - Utilities sector for the September quarter.
This is the site's second win 'on the trot' in this category
