Project Support

Our Project Management and Development methodologies are integrated via a dedicated, private, Project Management web site. This enables members of the development process, as well as GUI Developers, to discuss matters, make change requests and view all relevant project documentation via a single browser-based point of access.

Project Management Methodology

We utilise a project management methodology that incorporates the Rapid Application Development ("RAD") development cycle as a core component. The methodology is heavily focused on technical, design and review processes as part of the quality process of not only development but for the overall project. The methodology utilises a series of document templates and standards for progress, change and issues management and to ensure potential problems are identified and rectified early.

We utilise Rapid Application Development ("RAD") methodologies wherever possible.

Based on the seminal work of Steve McConnell in this area (see his book Rapid Development, or his web site at http://www.construx.com), we prefer to use a Modified Waterfall methodology for most developments of this nature, though we will typically employ a Timebox approach for prototype development and may use other RAD methodologies as appropriate. The Modified Waterfall approach has the twin benefits of providing early feedback as well as exposing core components at the earliest possible stage in the development cycle.
